This book is awesome! I have been waiting for the official hardcover for a while now and recently realized we live in an age where I can send a PDF to a printer and they will create a 100 page full-color hardcover for $45 + $7 S&H. It's not as nice as the official one is supposed to be (I'm still looking forward to receiving mine once Newyear fulfills orders), but it's pretty good and can serve me now at the game table.
Holy shit! This is kind of amazing lol. Glad you love the book that much! I can promise you that the finished version will be very fancy, smyth sewn binding, true pantone spot inks and such with a screen printed bookmark but damn if I don't think this DIY version is fuckin cool. Thanks so much for the kind words!
Yeah it's definitely not smyth sewn and a little off on the colors (see it compared to a Mork Borg book). The binding is a weird type of perfect bound I've never seen that floats up when the book opens wide (I'm not sure if you can see that in the pics). But it works for now :)
Very cool. Yeah, I can't really see the binding very well in that image but it's unique to see it in print again yet in a unique special custom print version. When you get the official version I would love an image of it up against your custom order if you remember to do it. Thanks again!
ah, so glad you are enjoying it! If your looking for more content like that The Box of shadows is less of a toolkit and more of a story. Similar but different. The two are tied together via story hooks and feed into one another. I really appreciate the purchase and the positive feedback!
also, I got a chance to read your other comment but didn’t have time to respond. To answer it in short, yeah I am not great at promoting myself. I am working on it. Haha. Please do spread the word about my little projects. Nothing is more powerful than word of mouth.
